February Athlete of the Month


Stephanie has always been a badass in the gym, but her commitment is even more impressive after having a baby! In the words of her coaches, “She’s ramped it up since coming back” and “She’s literally the best.”

How long have you been at CFRE?

About a year and a half.

What inspired you to start?

My amazing husband, Brett, convinced me to start about 5 years ago. He tried telling me how much I’d like it for a year and finally I tried it and have never looked back!

What makes you stick with it?

I feel my best when I’m CrossFitting. I have more energy and clarity of mind, and I am happier when I spend time with this awesome community and the friends I’ve made here. Besties for life!

What’s your favorite movement?

Double unders and sit-ups. Annie is my favorite workout.

What’s your current health- or fitness-related goal?

For starters, make it to the gym 3 and possibly 4 days a week, and while I’m there, up my game from Level 2 to Rx workouts, even if I’m the last one to finish.

What do you do for fun?

I dabble in watercolors here and there.

Any advice for newcomers?

Try to come at least 3 days a week and just keep coming. Everything gets easier and makes more sense the more you participate. And listen to your body.
